Cairns Terriers Most cairns terriers are not acquired through a rescue, but can sometimes be found in their photos. The coat is double-layered, the topcoat is hard and profuse and the closer to the body is soft and short. The hair must not curl and the color of the coat may be: grey, wheat, cream-red, or almost black but not white or totally black. The dog is known as vermin destroyer, hunting dog and now as a family pet. It is rather small though is very strong and brave.
