Cairn Terrier Rescue

Since the dogs of this breed can live well into their teens, they may still be quite active even at 10 years old. Puppies and dogs under the age of two don't come into the Rescue program very often. Besides the dogs that get to these organizations suffer from various diseases and have behavioral problems.

Usually the dog that are available in the saving organizations come from shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. The typical dog is between 2 and 10 years old, with the average age being in the 4 - 8 year range. A cairn terrier rescue will be supported by other rescues of different breeds of dogs.
