Cairn Terriers - Adoption Process
First, there is an adoption application form to be filled out. This is an expression of your interest in adopting a Cairn Terrier. Then, your personal and veterinary references will be checked and a home safety inspection will be conducted. When, and if, you have been approved to adopt, the process of locating the Cairn suitable for you is started. The entire process usually takes from a week to three weeks. Once the dog is found, you will have a chance to talk to the foster parent of the dog. This is the person who cared for the Cairn Terrier until you have proved that you are a match with the dog. Ask about the dog's temperament, its habits and upkeep in general. This information will definitely help you make it easier to feel at home at your place. Rescue Cairn Terriers can really be great dogs for consideration.
